Why I'm here

My reason for taking this English class WAS only because it's a required class for the program I am planning on completing. I am now realizing that after being out of school for so many years, that my prior answer may not be the only relevance. There are writing formats that I am completely unaware of, blogs,(what is a blog), and questions to be answered that I never knew to ask.
My intentions are to become better educated, to become a better writer, and more professional in my writing. It seems the addage proves true yet again. I am capable of learning something every day. I can't say that I honestly believe that if you aren't a great writer you aren't an intelligent reader. It could quite possibly be that it just isn't one of your strong-points. But because some will perceive it as such, and to most, perception is reality, then to become a better writer is advised.
In conclusion, I am anxious to see how my writing improves from now through the finality of this course and undoubtedly have a better understanding of the priciples/ideas for producing better work.

  1. I can echo the "being out of school for so many years" statement and I like your point about how writing has changed. The manner in which people communicate is continually evolving although I think this change has accelerated with recent technology.
