Blog assignment #1

I will start off introducing my self, my name is Drake Herr. I am taking English w131 because I have to. I have no desire to be writing and reading all the time it is purely forced upon me. I don't think people who are not even going to be writing in their job path should have to take a writing class. I am going for engineering so I see how math and all the other essentials are helpful but writing seems obsolete to me and many others who take engineering. I could see how it could be effective towards writing a resume' or something in that nature but other than that it will not help me much in my career of choice. I am not really sure why the university requires writing class for careers of my choice but it sure seems like its pointless to me and just a waste of my money. This class doesn't hold any value to me what so ever. I could see some benefits to help me write a resume' or something like that to get me a job but other than that I don't see the benefits from this writing class. Will this make me happy? No, not at all.
