TO BE HAPPY
I believe all happiness is determined through the heart.I dont think there is one single definition. Happiness defines a person. Whatever makes a person happy with life is their own personal definition. To me, happy is where home is. Home always makes you snap back to reality after it has been clouded for some time.
Happiness 101
To me, happiness is more than just money and power; it's love. No matter who you are and how much money you have, you will never be happy without having someone there by your side. On the flip side though, i do think that having some money and a little bit of power could help make you happy, but the one thing that everyone needs to be happy is that significant other.
Happiness is Time
Happiness- (n) the feeling of security over a long period of time. Stability calms the mind and brings it a peaceful feeling which can bring a smile to any face. The feeling is more than not shared with others in your common environment.
Describing Happiness
I don't believe there is a specific definition of happiness. I think it is different for everyone. It is even different for the same person on different days. The things that make you happy change. It might be a good grade on a homework assignment one day or no homework another day. Your boyfriend could make you happy today but tomorrow he might make you mad.
Experiance of Happiness By: Rebecca Rudolph
Happiness, like all other feelings, is hard to describe. You can say I am happy because I just got a new puppy! But you can't truly describe the feeling that you have at that moment. Words alone can not describe complicate emotions like happiness or sadness. Yes it's exciting and brilliant but it's also something else and because these feeling are pretty much impossible to define we just simply call it being happy. The closest I can come to define happiness is calling it an unique experiance. Someone else might not like puppies and then a whole new feeling comes up that they really can't truly describe. Distain, sadness, nothing. They might be a cat person. Happiness is apart of everyone, but since everyone is an unique individual then so is their experiances with happiness.
What is Happiness...
Happiness is different for each person, but has a similar bases. Relationships have a high connection with the amount of happiness in your life. Some people have the wrong idea about happiness, and they think that once they buy something it will bring them happiness. In reality, these people will be happy for a short period of time and only then get bored of what they have.
Zach's Definition of Happiness
Happiness comes from being content with your day to day life. Achieving goals you set for yourself and being around the people who you love and doing what you love all create happiness for people. Being happy is an emotion that come from satisfaction, love, and joy.
Eric's Definition of Happiness
To me, happiness is the result of achieving what you have set out to do. It is being where you want to be at that specific point in your life. It is finding contentment and satisfaction.
Brett's take on happiness
Happiness is spending time with the people you like, doing activities you like, how you like and when you like. Happiness is freedom, the freedom of choice and freedom of the mind. Happiness is also hard to track down, catch and keep close to you and the ones you care about. Part of the difficulty in tracking it down is that it is a constantly changing feeling. No one else can help you find you track down happiness, it takes different forms for all that hunt it, but the hunt is part of the fun, if happiness was easy to get, it wouldn’t be worth it.
Happiness
I think happiness is different between people. The general idea of happiness is an emotion when you are joyed with something happening in your life. It may be that you brought yourself a new car. Or sometimes you can be happy by giving to others.
Happiness by Carlotta
My definition of happiness is having something special that only you feel joy from having.Happiness is what a person makes it.The littlest thing can be the only bit of happiness a person has. It does not have to be fancy or expensive but must hold meaning.

jessica's definition of happiness
My definition of happiness is when everything in your life is stress free. When you are completely relaxed and there is no stress or nothing that you are worried about. When you can be completely happy and live in the moment, meaning u can experience everything around you without distraction and you feel at peace with yourself and your surroundings. I believe happiness is a choice and everyone can choose to be happiness, they just have to let it happen.
Christine's Definition
A large part of happiness to me is about feeling secure about my life including: relationships, finances, work, and school because these things help my pursuit of a good future for myself. But I also think that happiness is about remembering to show friends and family how much you love them in the present because love brings a level of happiness that other things cannot.

Jerod's view on happiness
Everyone always tries to tell me that money doesn't buy happiness. But does it? Whatever the case money does not play a role in how happy someone should be with their life. I believe it depends on who that person has in their life that will determine if they are happy. If love is expressed from this person with other people close to them, I believe that is all someone needs to be happy.
Happiness Over Time
Happiness is an action that builds up over time. It doesnt just start and stop when it feels the need. Happiness is the feeling that one's life is complete. Happiness allows a person to feel the best they can feel. Feeling the butterflies when one is in love, laughing at the most random of things, and being able to smile when seeing someone one cares about is what happiness is all about.
brooke's definition of happiness
I believe happiness is a frame of mind. Even though it is a feeling itself, happiness can be associated with many other feelings as well. I am happy when I am caring, loving, and helpful to others, but I am also happy by being cared for, loved, and helped. Everyone has a different perspective of happiness. It can be big or small, and it can change with the stages of life.
Happiness...What is Happiness?
Happiness is a case that differs from person to person. So by no means can you give a solid definition of what happiness actually is,but you can generalize what makes people happy. Therefore, i would say it is a scale based on or influenced by different peoples lifestyles, because everyone is a brought up a different way.
Happiness Everywhere
I have thought about the word happiness and at first I thought that I could say that happiness is not about material things. I thought I could say that happiness is a deep emotion that only our family can bring us. But I think happiness is different for every person. We all want different things at different stages of our lives. What brings me happiness may not bring happiness to someone on the other side of the world.

ellawade's definition of happiness
The ability to successfully find what truly makes one happy, and applying it appropriately throughout life. Also, the acceptance of oneself and the relationships and people one are close to. Overall happiness is the feeling of accomplishment and pride for everything associated in one's life. Although, it can not be achieved instantly, and may take an entire life time to find.
Happiness By: Isamar Moctezuma
In my opinion happiness means that you have to suffer before your able to experiences happiness. I believe that if everything is giving to you; you would never be able to experiences happiness because you wouldn't know the difference between happiness and sadness. If we want to reach the point of happiness in our life we would have to loose someone or work for it. If we work for it and forgiveness too.we could feel better about ourself and others but it doesn't mean that we would reach happiness but we will get there. Before we get there we have to forgive and forget!!
Kourtni's view on happiness
Happiness is enjoying the little things in life, and not taking things for granted. It is our personal goal in life to define what happiness in our perspective. Your own happiness is created and molded by you, and only you. Happiness is surrounding yourself by people you love, and by the people that love you back. It is enjoying yourself in the moment and not worrying about the past, or the future. As we grow older, we realize everyday that we are the only ones that are able to create full and complete happiness for ourselves.
My Definition of Happiness
Happiness is something that everyone wants. It is when you are at a state of content with all that is going on around you. Happiness is being satisified with everything you have. It can also be a choice. Looking at the bright side of things and not the negative side. the key to happiness is to live, laugh, love.
Tanya's idea of Happiness
Happiness is a decision. It's not just a feeling that comes and goes at random. It's something that is created from the inside out, not the outside in.
Amy Williams' Short Version of Defining Happiness
I believe happiness is a feeling we get once an aspiration has been fulfilled. One could think of it as being cause and effect, with the effect always being happiness. The cause, however, is going to vary between each individual. To me, spending time with my family and friends would be one cause, as well as helping others. To some people, it may be materialistic items that they feel make them happy. It's a very diverse world. Therefore, we're all going to have our own personal standpoint as to what makes us happy.
A Definition of Happiness -- Ashley Lewis
In my opinion, "happiness" is a conclusion, an end emotional response that one experiences when personal goals are accomplished; but, inclusive within these goals are personal needs, both physical and emotional, that must be met before personal wants. Happiness is not a physical thing that someone can carry around in their pocket. Happiness is a mindset that inspires one to persevere. Struggles faced in the pursuit of happiness can offer personal meaning once success is achieved.
A quote that I really like that explains my definition more clearly (which I also included in my paper) by Aristotle: "Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existance."

What is happiness: by Katrina
Happiness is a feeling of enjoyment, or achievement that makes humans feel good about an accomplishment depending upon their own interest. It is different to each person because every individual has diverse interests and dissimilar accomplishments they want to achieve. It isn’t the substantial belongings that make us happy, it is the awareness of achievement and motivation that gives us the sense of happiness.
Happiness by Derek
Happiness is something that cannot be defined by a dictionary because it varies from person to person, with each person having their own unique set of rules which define happiness to them. For myself happiness is a combination of a few factors. Most importantly is friends. Without friends we are lonely, lost people. Friends are not only a part of happiness but a reason to be happy. Secondly would be being in your own utopia. This would be feeling comfortable, feeling at home and feeling welcome. Last would be the lack of negative outside motivators. If I have nothing to worry about, no outside pressures causing me trouble then I am more likely to be happy. All these combined would mean happiness to me is being with friends in a place I call home with nothing to worry about.
Happiness According to Jeremy Maxwell
Happiness to me means having successful relationships. Not a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship necessarily, but rather a relationship with those close to you. A good network of friends and family is what happiness is to me. In order to achieve true happiness with those around you, you must spend time and get to know one another. It comes with time spent with each other.
Charlie's Outlook on Happiness
I believe that happiness differs from individual to individual, but I believe that everyone's definition of happiness shares the same core concept. I think that love and happiness go hand in hand. If you always have someone to love, and someone to love you back I don't know how you could not find happiness. Happiness does not come through having a nice car, wearing nice clothes, or living in a big house. It is much more than that. I believe in order to find happiness you have to surround yourself with positive people. Even with all the positive support in the world i believe it means nothing if you cannot find happiness within yourself first.
Rylie's Definition of Happiness
I believe that happiness is a state of mind that cannot be filled with material objects but rather emotions and the way you treat yourself and others. It can be self fulfilled by emotions such as courage, self confidence, and actions such as working hard to accomplish what you are striving for, helping others in time of need, and being honest, loyal, and respectful. But most of all I think happiness is love. If you have something to love and something that loves you in return, I think you will have achieved happiness.
