The Class of Writing Class

In today’s world, one of the most important skills a man can have is the skill to create a coherent, flowing sentence. The ability to write with skill and a graceful stroke of the pen proves useful in almost every possible scenario we can find ourselves in. The University requires this course because it understands just how valuable writing skills are in the work environment. Professional writing can make even the most unsophisticated individual more professional in the eyes of an employer. In attending this class, my hopes are to further improve my writing style and perhaps pick up on some mechanics that I can utilize for my benefit.

One philosophical question to consider would be the old “would this give me happiness” cliche. My answer to this is no, not at the present, but if I can hone my skills as a writer, then perhaps I will gain happiness from it in the future. Happiness is subjective to each individual, so one man’s happiness may not equate another’s. However, I define happiness as having security and positive acceptance in one’s life, and with the ability to write, I feel that it would indeed help me find happiness.
