I believe that what makes happy really hasn’t changed from my first blog. I recently lost my grandma and I never really realized how much she made me happy. Now I know that you have to make big sacrifices to realize how much that person can bring happiness in to your life with out having anything else. My grandma was like the person who keeps my family together to where we wanted to be around each and be happy. But now that she’s gone its feels like my family has fallen apart and nobody happy. I know she’s looking down here on some of m family and wish they would realize that they don’t need noting like her money or anything to make happiness. And that being together would make her happy. What make me happy is having memories of my grandma and me together. So you never know when your going to wake up and be that happiest person in the world to have family around that is happy too. When that one person is gone then every thing around you falls to the ground because people fell to realize that they are tearing other people happiness away from them. I know if my grandma was here today I would tell her that she did a wonderful job of making people laugh and be happy with out have to worry about money and personal items to make them happy. All I know is that one day my happiness will return when people open their eyes and see what they are doing to there family.

happiness By:Ashley Harvey
I believe happiness is making the most of what you have and enjoying it with the people you love. I believe what makes me “happy” today may not be what does in years. Never take what you have for granted because it can be lost in a heart beat. In which most people almost lose there family before they realize thats what makes them happy. So i believe that you have to make great sacrifices to get to happiness.

My definition of Happiness
What is happiness? I believe happiness is the ideal feeling of joy or accomplishment over everyday life. Happiness is not a sustainable emotion but it does leave a great impact on our lives. It is an emotion that can be changed in a matter of minutes in my opinion. Some people may have a different attitude depending on their mood. Happiness to me is a good song or being around people that I enjoy. Sometimes I find happiness when I sleep long into the day without any responsibilities. I feel joy and happiness when I have no problems and no major events that could possibly end my happiness and mood changes to stressed. Happiness is being able to overview your surroundings and be able to honestly say that you are comfortable with the way things turned out. Everything that has happened in your life and everything you feel right now, all mixed up to make you feel happy. Happiness is made up of many other different feelings going on in ones head. Lets say an individual is happy, the reasons are because he/she just met someone special and because he/she just got new clothes. So both of the emotions of mystery and excitement allow the individual to be happy.
Happiness in my perspective
Happiness basically still holds the same meaning to me, but it has evolved a bit. After reading McKibben I realized that happiness depends on an individuals quality of life. Different cultures and ideas come into play when the quality of life is observed. 'Quality of life' is the idea that certain events trigger one's own happiness. Divorce, misfortunes, income amount, and many things like this are major pin point that allow an individual to be happy or to show different emotions. This asks the question of which 'quality of life' makes one happy or brings happiness into play? What kind of people are happy? The people who make less of an income? After reading, I can conclude that money does make some people happy, but like I have said before, this happiness is not everlasting. Happiness is never long-lived, but it is still considered happiness. The same feeling of joy is found in an individual who has started to date someone of interest as well as a person whom just purchased a handfull of new clothes. Maybe it is a different kind of happiness, but to me it is all the same emotion. Happiness is an emotion that can describe many situations. Happiness has evolved and I can see why happiness is found in many different ways. Individual preference also comes into play when speaking of over-all happiness. Happiness can vary, depending on what a person may be interested in. In my overall conclusion, Individual interest plays a major roll in a persons happiness.
