4-20 Mary J Wanna

I am in support of the legalization of marijuana. Although I do not smoke and never plan to smoke I feel like it needs to be legalized. People make such a big deal about marijuana but I don't see if being any different than alcohol or cigs. I personally believe there SHOULD be an age limit outlawed on the substance though just like cigs and alcohol. I am writing about this topic obviously because the date today is 4-20 a potheads dream. I am getting annoyed of everyone making a big deal about 4-20 just because they smoke weed all day. If it was legalized I think no one would make that big of a deal about it. Plus the tax payers wouldnt have to pay as much because we could get the potsmokers stuck in jail out of there. People will have different opinions on this subject because really it is a very controlversial subject but thats just the way I feel. Once again I do not smoke so I am not biased to it or anything.

  1. Not arguing for or against, but thinking about the economics - moving people out of jail, as you mentioned, would reduce costs but would there be other increased costs for society due to legalization?

  2. The government could put a tax on weed like they do cigs, sell them in a pre-rolled pack just like a pack of smokes. Tax the crap out of them, create some jobs to process the stuff, no harm done in the end. Can't OD on pot, no raging potheads like the effects of alcohol, what's the big deal?

  3. If it was legalized, it would create a new type of farming industry creating jobs. It would also decrease the violence in the southern border states as well as in mexico, because there would be no need to smuggle it over the border anymore. Yes there would be violence over other drugs but the cartels make most there money from pot. Legalize it.
