I think our instructional team decided to take us to the Eiteljorg Museum for a good purpose. Not every student in our class, like me, is familiar with what Indianapolis has to offer. We all don’t know that with your Jag Tag you can access many things with a discount or for free. I believe we went is to show us the diversity of art, just like the diversity we would see on campus at IUPUI, which is very valuable as being a freshman.
A trip to this museum would be valuable to citizens to Indianapolis. Indianapolis is a big city where people from all over the world come to live. Diversity is big in the city, and the museum shows that. The museum would be more informative and hands on than a trip to the movies.
When we were told we would be visiting the Eiteljorg Museum, by the unusual name I felt like it would be boring because I had never heard of it. I expected to see art from different cultures. I thought the stuff we saw was interesting. I learned that the Native Americans were really into their culture. It showed that most of the things they used in everyday life were made by hand. With the Native Americans being into their culture, I felt that they would have to be close to one another to accomplish what they had. Being a close community would make everyone feel at home and helping each other out would bring them happiness.
You are not the only one that didn't know the JagTag let us in there for free, neither did I. I think you are right when you say a trip there can be beneficial for those who live in Indianapolis, but I think students and those who live elsewhere and visit Indianapolis could have a lot to benefit from it as well!
ReplyDeleteI think that is very good that you went to visit the museum. That is very educational and I am sure you and your classmates had fun and learned a lot from it. Especially that you learned of the discounts! I did not know about that either.
