Along with your assigned Blog postings and replies, you should also feel free to ask questions or make comments/suggestions about the Blog or "happiness" and "home" in this forum.
However, the course Blog is not a substitute for Oncourse--any questions or comments concerning grades, assignments, classes, etc. should be made through Oncourse. (Don't create a post to tell me you'll be stopping by during office hours.)
